Wine-growing area

Selected vineyards among the best in Sèvre and Maine appellation area according to their typicity and because of the character their confer to the wine produced on those plots. The villages of
MOUZILLON, VALLET, LE PALLET and MONNIERES usually gain our preference.

Geological characteristic

Soil made of schist from the primary era composed with gneiss (acidic rock) or gabbro (rich in calcium) depending on the location

Grape variety

100% MELON (generally known as MUSCADET).

Colour and alcohol content

White slightly amber-coloured. Alcohol : 12% volume.

Vinification process

Horizontal press. Alcoholic fermentation under controlled temperature between 18 to 20°. The wine rests on the lees over six months.

Technical parameters

Acidity : 4,5 g/l - Sulphur : 35 mg/l (indicative measures).This wine is tasted by a special jury in order to obtain for the selected vintages a right to be bottled in the special Nantaise bottle (limited numbers).

Tasting notes

High expression wine, its delicacy and tasting lightness as well as its roundness in mouth are intimately linked with superb structure. Its nose both floral and rich is a promising indication of the quality of the SOLEIL NANTAIS.
Drink cool around 8 to 10°c.
